ERIC CASACCIO Over the years Eric Casaccio has been involved in several different areas of the entertainment industry. He got his start performing in Boston Regional Theatre Productions, including Arthur Miller’s The Crucible as well as the independent feature films Temps starring Seymour Cassel, The North End starring Frank Vincent and some New England Regional commercials for local businesses. After fulfilling some of his acting goals, he decided it was time to explore other areas of the entertainment industry. During his tenure as an Assistant Casting Director at Boston Casting, he recruited talent for commercials, industrials, theater productions and independent films, including Wilbur Falls starring Danny Aiello, Sally Kirkland and Maureen Stapleton. In January of 1997, Eric moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and writing and subsequently wrote his first feature screenplay David’s Walls. After completing several drafts, he became determined to bring his creation to life. Shortly thereafter, he became involved in production working on features, commercials and music videos. Combining his experiences in production and casting, he produced a five-minute experimental music video for David’s Walls offering viewers a brief symbolic vision of the story with abstract glimpses of the main characters. David’s Walls screened in several festivals around the country, including The Northampton Film Festival and The Long Beach International Film Festival, The Connecticut Lesbian & Gay Film Festival and Q Cinema, Fort Worth's Gay & Lesbian Film Festival garnering positive reviews along the way. While promoting David’s Walls on the festival circuit, Eric worked at Merv Griffin’s company, The Griffin Group, and later for MRC Public Relations where he worked on the Oscar campaigns for Gosford Park, Moulin Rouge and The Man Who Wasn't There. Recently, Eric finished writing an original pilot episode for a one-hour television drama series for gay teens entitled Gregory, along with a feature length screenplay (Psychic Glitter). With these two stories, Eric has two dreams, to be the head creator of Gregory airing on a cable or gay network, and to have Psychic Glitter turned into a movie with himself playing the lead. Latest screen credits include Ravenous Souls, Jimmy’s House of Hugs, (winner of the Audience Choice Award at the Faux Film Festival) and Getting Lucky (Best Acting in Short at the Texas Independent Filmmakers Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Estes Park Film Festival, Best Comedy at the Deep Fried Film Festival, and Honarable Mention at The Indie Gathering Film Festival). In addition to studying abroad with the London Theatre Program, Eric received his Bachelor’s Degree from Roger Williams University graduating with honors. He studies acting at the Michael Chekhov Connection with Lisa Dalton and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. (SAG). Eric's relationship with Stacy Marr began in the late 1990's. Since then, they have worked on several films together. After watching Stacy's different talents grow over the years and establishing an outstanding trust with her, Eric decided she was the best candidate to direct his story with her. "Stacy is a valuable asset which makes Psychic Glitter shine. I am thrilled to have her along for one hell of a ride!" -- Eric Casaccio ![]() |
