"Letting go of the past has always been a tough thing for me.  The tragic loss of Lawrence King brought back the torment I experienced in school...the spit balls in my face, being called "fee fee the faggot", the fear of using the bathroom, etc.  Now these kids have guns.  An innocent life was taken for simply being who he is.  God bless Lawrence for not being ashamed of his sexuality.  I wish I was as brave as him when I was his age.  Turning my showcase into a charity event honoring his memory is my way of letting go and has put my life in a wonderful perspective."
